One important part for me in “Sexy” was when Miranda began
realizing the reality of being a mistress. Miranda comes to realize that by
being the mistress she will miss out on the things she wanted most from the
relationship. She and Dev won’t be able to go to nice dinners in public. At the
end of the day Dev will always return home to his beautiful wife and Miranda
will be left alone. When she babysits Rohin, Miranda suddenly comprehends the
mistress from the wife’s perspective; now she can imagine the fighting between
couples and she finally starts to understand that she’s the other woman.
